Greetings from Saint Nicholas 2020
Saint Nicholas is spending this year in quarantine, but even that didn´t deter him from connecting with us at least online. Yes, they have the internet in heaven, just like we do in Moravia!
Something for Adults!
The devil recommends
For adults, I prepared a recipe for liqueur with alcohol and salted caramel. All the ingredients combine in a unique taste, and the production of liqueur itself is really easy!
And don't forget - there is strength even in quantity! So cheers!
The angel does not forget the youngsters :)
Baking "heavenly" gingerbread.
I prepared for you a simple recipe for gingerbread, which even Baby Jesus loves.
Preparation:
2x eggs
2 tablespoons honey
140g sugar flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
400g plain flour
100g butter
2 teaspoons gingerbread spices
And how to make it? It is really simple:
Whisk the sugar, 2 eggs and butter. Then add honey and spices. But don't add more honey, as the gingerbread will be too hard! You should have something like a "slurry". Then mix flour and baking soda into it. Make the dough and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Then, roll the dough on a thicker plate and cut out any gingerbread shapes you like, for example, I really like hearts and stars. Put all this on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and put it in the oven.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake the gingerbread for 8 minutes.
Time to decorate!
What kind of gingerbread would it be if they didn't look like they were from a magazine? Even our eyes eat it right!
Prepare for decorating:
1x egg white
15 - 20dkg of powder sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
possible food colours
And how to do it?
Sift the sugar several times, add the egg white and lemon juice and whip it all for at least 10 minutes. Finally, cut a 0.5 mm corner of a plastic bag and you can start decorating your own gingerbread. And not that you eat it all right away! After decorating, let your creation dry at room temperature (approx. 1-2 hours is enough).
P.S. Watch the gingerbread, it is quite possible that someone will try to steal them in the meantime :)
Something made of paper
You can always create a lot of beautiful decorations from coloured papers. So I'm sending you a process of how children can create, for example, a beautiful Advent wreath made entirely of paper.
You will only need:
colored paper
paper plate
scissors
glue
and possibly some other things to decorate the wreath as you wish
I am sending you instructions for a lot of paper decorations HERE and I hope that you will really play with paper.
For the more demanding artist
What about creating very interesting 3D snowflakes?
You will only need:
paper
scissors
glue
and above all skillful hands
Try to look HERE and HERE for the procedure. Good luck!
If there is no paper, why not to try pasta?
If you have a lot of different types of pasta at home and you don't like to make something with paper, you can try to use them to make Christmas decorations.
You will need:
pasta
tempera colours or gold/silver spray
glue gun
cardboard for carp / tree / star
Also included are a few pictures for inspiration, but there is a lot of things you can create from pasta. Use your imagination.
Plan with Saint Nicholas!
So that you won't say that I didn’t give you anything this year as well, you can pick up new calendars for 2021 at the D29 / 415 office and circle the 6 December 2021, when I will come to see you again. Until then, be as kind as possible!
The fact that we did not come to you this year does not mean that we will not be watching you next year, in which we will be very much looking forward to seeing you.
