Strengthen RECETOX's research excellence in urban exposome
Project Aims & Objectives
URBAN_X aims to develop strategic partnerships between RECETOX in the Czech Republic (a Widening country), and three leading European international counterparts (UCL in the UK, ISGlobal in Spain, Utrecht University in the Netherlands). The partnerships which will include scientific collaborations and networking activities will enhance European research excellence in the field of urban exposome.
Common research interests and complementary expertise of project partners will boost development of new approaches for studying the effects of the urban exposome on human health. At the same time, the project will significantly enhance the scientific and technological capacity of RECETOX, raise its students and staff professional profile, and increase the international visibility of the Centre.
How will we do it?
The objectives will be achieved through carefully planned and coordinated activities, including visits and lectures by international experts participating in the twinning project, joint workshops, seminars and summer schools, research visits of junior scientists at the partner institutions, co-tutoring of Ph.D. students and post-doctoral fellows, participation in conferences, and trainings to enhance competencies of research and research support staff. The proposed activities will help to unlock and fully exploit RECETOX's research and innovation potential and allow it to become a sought after partner in international research consortia.
