Call for Experts - NIP update and inventory expert(s) for Albania

The project GEF ID 10924 entitled “Review and Update of the National Implementation Plan for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in Albania, Armenia and Kazakhstan” aims at strengthening implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Through this Project, one of beneficiary countries - Albania - will revise its National Implementation Plan (NIP) and update it taking into account the newly listed POPs as well as review the “old POPs” management.

The SCRC Czech Republic hosted at RECETOX, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic acting as the regional executing agency seeks in this call at a minimum of three qualified and experienced experts supporting the development of POP inventories and elaboration of updated NIP in Albania in a timely and structured manner.

Open to: Albania nationals residing in Albania

Expected start date: October 2024

Language: Applications must be submitted in English, but knowledge of Albanian is also required.

Call for Experts - PCB pilot project in Armenia
This call is supporting project implemented by BRS/UNEP entitled Global clean-up initiative in view of meeting the 2025 and 2028 targets on PCB elimination under the Stockholm Convention in the Eastern European region pilot countries Armenia and Moldova.
The SCRC Czech Republic hosted at RECETOX, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic acting as the regional executing agency seeks in this call two qualified and experienced experts to gather, review and analyze existing and new information on PCB management available for Armenia, contributing to the improvements of the current PCB inventory for the Republic of Armenia and sharing lessons learned with the broader Eastern European region in a timely and structured manner.

SCRC invites interested organizations and agencies to provide a bid for supporting organization of national meeting in Sarajevo to be held on 14-15 May 2024 (or 15-16 May 2024) for 60 participants. The project GEF ID 10785 entitled “Global Development, Review and Update of National Implementation Plans (NIPs) under the Stockholm Convention (SC) on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)” aims at strengthening implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Through this Project, one of beneficiary countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina - will revise its National Implementation Plan (NIP) and update it taking into account the newly listed POPs as well as review the “old POPs” management.

The SCRC Czech Republic hosted at RECETOX, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic acting as the regional executing agency seeks in this call at a minimum of three qualified and experienced experts supporting the development of POP inventories and elaboration of updated NIP in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a timely and structured manner.

Open to: Bosnia and Herzegovina nationals residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and experts from Balkan countries fulfilling the criteria

Expected start date: April 2024

Language: Applications must be submitted in English, but knowledge of local languages in BiH is also required.

Deadline: Monday 8 April 2024 at 17:00 CET (Sarajevo/Brno/Geneva time)
