Environment and Health

Focuses on the effects of environmental pollution on human life and health, and the health of ecosystems.

It is taught at the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels.

Mathematical Biology and Biomedicine

Deals with the application of mathematical and analytical approaches in biology, biomedicine, and medicine.

It is taught at the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels.

At RECETOX, research is not in and of itself the goal, but rather the means of obtaining practical, and applicable results that will lead to a direct, positive impact on the lives of Czech and other citizens around the world. By working closely with organizations (e.g. companies, hospitals, firefighters), as well as with the government and international organizations (e.g. UN, WHO, EC), research can be focused on areas where it will have the highest impact.

RECETOX participates in more than 50 scientific projects at the national and international levels annually, almost a quarter of which are financed from abroad. Currently RECETOX is taking part in 15 international consortium projects funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 program, which puts it in par with Europe’s top research institutions.
