RECETOX's Involvement in the ACTRIS-CZ Consortium

The large research infrastructure ACTRIS-CZ (Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure) provides a unique platform for long-term monitoring and research of the atmosphere, focusing on air quality and its impacts on health, climate, and the environment. A key component of this effort is the National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice (NAOK), operated by CHMI, which has been monitoring long-term air quality trends in the Czech Republic and Central Europe since 1988.

RECETOX (Masaryk University), together with its partners – the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals (ÚCHP), the Global Change Research Institute (ÚVGZ), and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (ÚFA) of the Czech Academy of Sciences – contributes to cutting-edge research in the areas of atmospheric aerosols, clouds, and reactive gases. This collaboration, formalized in a 2013 Memorandum, ensures integration with European infrastructures such as ICOS and ACTRIS.
