PhD program

Dissertation thesis topics are offered in the main research areas of RECETOX, which are listed below. Please, check the research programmes and the individual PIs to discuss the research project with them before you will apply for the PhD position. The positions are not limited only at the currently offered topis and we welcome active candidates with their research projects. In any case, the application shall be discussed with potential supervisor in advance.

Candidate profile

Candidates shall possess MSc. or a corresponding degree from a university in relevant field, solid background in the respective field and good communication skills in English language. Guide to PhD studies

The Faculty of Science has published the brief Guide for Ph.D. students to provide a basic orientation, overview, and guidance for all parties involved in PhD studies at the SCI MUNI. Nevertheless, the guide is focused on the student's needs and duties. The students will find here the basic information on how to submit the application, how plan your studies and research and how to successfully defend the thesis.

For the consultation with the supervisor, candidates should submit the application including

1. curriculum vitae,
2. motivation letter,
3. contacts of two persons who might provide references.

Formal application to Ph.D. studies at Masaryk University will then require further documentation and formalities from the candidates and will be processed through an electronic application system.
